Garland, conveniently located in the northeast corner
of Dallas County, with a population of approximately 200,000, is Texas'
10th largest city. Three interstate highways, and several state and federal
roads make access to all parts of the Metroplex easy.
Garland hosts many family entertainment opportunities including our
annual Star Spangled Fourth celebration and Christmas
on the Square, featuring our spectacular Parade of Lights.
The City boasts outstanding recreational venues including Firewheel
at Garland, a 63-hole championship golf course, which has
hosted the Texas State Open and PGA Qualifying tournaments. The
Jerry Carter and Cecil Winters softball complexes have gained
national attention. These facilities are complimented by Surf
and Swim and Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park.
Nearby hotels, eating establishments, and shopping centers are all here
to serve you. And coming in time for Christmas 2005: Firewheel
Town Center, a 785,000 square foot open-air regional shopping
center, located at the intersection of State Road 190 and President George
Bush Expressway and State Road 78.
