Romance & Shopping. The perfect weekend destination. Granbury.

Cities to Visit: Granbury, Texas

"Where Texas History Lives"... Granbury is located just 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth, in the heart of the Brazos River valley. A pleasant surprise awaits the first time visitor. Returning visitors enjoy the variety of accommodations, attractions, festivals and citywide events.

For the perfect romantic get-away, try one of many Bed and Breakfasts or quaint inns that will provide you privacy and an incomparable sunset over Lake Granbury that can be viewed from your horse-drawn carriage ride. The Granbury Riverboat also has a perfect 'Moonlight Cruise.'

For a fun weekend with the whole family, the kids will love The Gulch, world's largest miniature golf course. Take them back in time to the Brazos Drive-in, one of only a few left in the state. Take a free ride on the Granbury Trolley from any of our park-n-ride locations to the downtown square and other attractions. Maybe you just want to rent jet skis and spend the day on the lake.

No trip is complete without taking in a live professional performance at Granbury Live! or the Opera House. While downtown, you won't want to miss shopping and dining in many of the unique stores and restaurants around the historic courthouse square.

So, history peaks your interest? You'll find history and mystery in the sites and tales surrounding Jesse James, John Wilkes Booth, Davy Crockett, and the hanging tower at the old jailhouse. You might even forget time altogether while browsing in all of Granbury's antique malls.
